The Quincy Farmers’ Market is more than a Market. It’s a true piece of Americana.
Massachusetts has a long history of farming, and today the same land is farmed by the descendants of old Yankee farmers with modern methods while maintaining the sustainable farming system of their forefathers. The farmers of the Quincy Farmers’ Market are traditional farmers. Theirs is a true labor of love, tradition, family and land. Many of these farms have been in the same families for generations.
It’s more than a Market. It’s a cultural exchange.
As you walk through the market, look at the strong faces, their sun-drenched hard working hands, and the pride these farmers take in their produce. How nicely they display what they have grown for us to enjoy!
If you are from Quincy, come to the Market to see your friends, and your family’s friends. Come to the Market to capture a little of the past and a happy part of the present.
If you are a visitor to Quincy, come to the Market to see who we are, to touch our past and our present. Come to the Market to find a special part of Massachusetts, the City of Quincy and its downtown shopping area, and its historic monuments and buildings, and the home and birthplace of our second and sixth Presidents, John Adams and John Quincy Adams, who were farmers as well as statesmen.
It’s more than a Market. It’s a social and educational event.
Come to the Market to get away from anonymous shopping in huge stores with aisles of packaging and plastic containers. Meet the actual growers, find foods for healthy diets, get just-picked freshness, rebuild rural-urban ties, discover what is in season, and learn how to buy produce.
Come to the Market to be outdoors, to feel alive and welcome. Come to the Market to slow down and smile. Meet your farmers. See your friends. Smile again. Stop to touch and smell the herbs and flowers. Ask about everything. Exchange recipes. Discover new vegetables and fruits. Enjoy the festive atmosphere, the sunlight, the blue sky, the colors and shapes of the produce. People watch. Feel warm. Smile again.
The Quincy Farmers’ Market – it’s Fun, it’s Festive, it’s Friendly!
Our produce is all locally grown, and picked just for you! Quality and freshness you can taste. Regional varieties, traditional favorites.
See you at the Market!
