Barbara Brooks, Community Coordinator, Quincy WIC Nutrition Program @ Quincy Medical Center, will be at the Market from 12 to 3 with information about WIC, nutrition and fresh produce. Here's what the farmers and market vendors are brining to the Quincy Farmers' Market on Friday, July 11th:
 
Early greens (lettuces, mesclun, chard)
Fresh culinary herbs
Strawberries (no pesticides or herbicides)
Early summer squash
Beets
Kohlrabi
Potted plants and herbs
Patio tomatoe plants
Goat cheese--plain, herb, fruit flavors
Herbal teas
Breads and pies
Low fat and vegan baked items
Fresh fertile eggs--blue (Americana chickens), brown (White Rock chickens) and white (Leghorns)
Grass-fed beef, pork, and lamb
Hot and sweet sausages

Herbal skin & body care products

 

O'Brien's Bakery sells sodas and water and makes grilled cheese sandwiches and hot dogs to order! 

 

The City of Quincy donated a picnic table -- you'll find it under the trees near O'Brien's stand. 

 

Freitas Farm, Stillman Farm, and Serving Ourselves Farm are authorized to take WIC coupons and Senior coupons.  For more information about coupon programs contact your local WIC office or the local Elder Services office.
